Here is a before picture of Kim's house.  We are going to build a deck floor that comes out further and is wider than the existing deck.  The finished project will be 18'X18'  with a gable roof and screens.  The roof is going to be built on an 8/12 pitch.

I know it can difficult to visualize the size and finished look of this porch by reading what I wrote above, so I have adopted some software to help.

This is what I have drawn up so far and for the most part of it, it is to scale or proportionate.  The brick columns are 18"X18"s 7' tall, the columns on the deck floor are 8"X8" 10' tall, and the roof is on an 8/12.

I can draw something up for you, too.  Just send me a picture of your house and what you are interested in, size, and finished look, and I'll show you what we can do.
